Motivate students in answering the questions on pp. 4-5 of the module.

Present the video of Leo N. Tolstoy’s God Sees the Truth, But Waits, then instruct
students to answer the questions on pp. 8-9.

Discuss the sources of information on page 10.

D. Developing Mastery

Ask students to answer Activity 1 and Activity 2 on page 11.

E. Application and Generalization

Ask students to share the information they learned in their own creative ways.

F. Evaluation

Instruct students to read the news from different sources of information. Let them
browse the contents of the three issues on pp. 12-13 and ask them to compare
them by filling out the chart on page 14.

Present the diagram to the students and ask them to give as many words as they
can that are related to the term.

C. Discussion of Concepts

Ask students to watch the video clip entitled What is World Literature. Then have
them answer the comprehension questions on pp.16-17.

Ask them to read the text What is World Literature? On pp.17- 18, then let them
answer the comprehension questions on pp.18-19.

D. Developing Mastery

Ask students to draw a Venn diagram and let them show the similarities and
differences of the two sources of information presented in the previous activities
about What is World Literature.

E. Application and Generalization

Let them brainstorm the answers to the following questions:


1. Where do you get information?
2. Which is most accessible and most effective to use in gathering information
about different topics? Why do you say so?
3. Which is least effective and least accessible? Why do you say so?

F. Evaluation

Ask students to make a short essay about the importance of using different sources
of information in studying literature. Present the criteria on page 20.
