CAROLE PARK SITE INFORMATION

FIRST AID

Trained First Aiders and First Aid Equipment/Facilities on site to ensure


• initial and immediate attention to a person suffering an injury or illness.

• first aid response could mean the difference between life and death, or reduce the
severity of the injury or illness

• Report injury or illness immediately to your manager and obtain first aid treatment
without delay.

• The First Aid room is located inside the Finishing Building. It can be entered into from
the EHS Office or from the main roadway. There are many first aid kits located around
the site

SITE ACCESS

• Everyone is required to Swipe in and out at the


turnstiles when entering and exiting the site.
• You must also swipe your card at the entry and
exit gates to the carpark – No tailgating allowed

• This will allow us to know exactly who is on site at


any given time and should there be an emergency
we are able to identify exactly who needs to be
accounted for

• IMPORTANT: If you leave site during the day, you


must notify somebody and either sign out at
reception or swipe out at the gate
VEHICLES ON SITE

• Employee parking is behind the security


gates in a locked compound. A security pass
is required to enter and exit this area.

• Parking is permitted within the factory


grounds if hazard lights are on and a valid
parking permit is displayed on the vehicle at
all times. Permits can be obtained from the
security gatehouse

• Adhere to the site speed limit of 10 km/h


(maximum) at all times.

• The company may:


• Order the removal of any non-compliant
vehicle on the site (at the owners cost); and
• Order any vehicles entering or exiting to be
subject to inspection
EMERGENCY EVACUATION

• IF YOU HEAR THE ALERT TONE (BEEP, BEEP, BEEP)


– Standby for instructions from the Warden
– Remain calm

• IF YOU HEAR THE EVACUATION TONE (WHOOP, WHOOP, WHOOP)


– Commence evacuation of your location and close doors behind you if you are
in an office
– Walk directly to the Emergency Evacuation Assembly Point and swipe your
card at the assembly point scanner
– Line up according to your department and wait quietly and listen for further
instructions from the Warden

The alarm is tested across the Carole Park site every month.
EMERGENCY EVACUATION

Main assembly point for all personnel is the area across from the Gatehouse.
NON-PEDESTRIAN AREAS

• The PIP yard and Autoclave yard are out of


bounds to pedestrians and are not to be
used as a thoroughfare

• If you are required to be in either of these


areas, make sure you are being safe and are
highly visible to forklifts and other vehicles
SMOKING

• There is NO SMOKING within all Plants/offices,


they are Smoking Free Zones
• No smoking also includes E-Cigarettes

Smoking is only permitted in designated area


• Either side of the carpark turn style
• Smoking shelter outside the Boiler House
• Behind Trim Line 8 (North Door)

Always dispose of your waste


ASBESTOS

• All sites have an Asbestos Register


and Asbestos Management Plan

• Our ANZ sites have buildings that


were manufactured using ACM
(asbestos containing material) This is
safe unless it is disturbed.

• Regular checks are conducted and


annual air monitoring is conducted to
ensure there is no risk

• All damages to buildings must be


reported!
ASBESTOS

• Any work on ACM must be


conducted by licensed, trained and
competent persons

• A number of controls will need to be


implemented and a full risk
assessment and SWMS will be
completed prior to the
commencement of any work

• A CTW will also be conducted

CONTAMINATED LAND

• The whole site is deemed


contaminated land

• Under our contaminated land


permit, in some instances we are
required to seek approval from the
NSW EPA before disturbing the
land

• DO NOT DIG OR DISTURB THE


LAND WITHOUT PRIOR
APPROVAL FROM THE EHS
MANAGER

• If permission is granted, make sure


you use the excavation and break
in permit in addition to a Clearance
to Work
