Assignment #3: Health Literacy - Issues and Concerns

Science and Health Communication

ANSWERS:

1. According to my research, the Philippine Health Care Delivery System

indicates that the public sector (regional, provincial, municipal, and barangay
levels) continues to dominate the health care delivery system in the
Philippines, which would be assisted by private healthcare practitioners.
Universal Health Care (UHC) integration has already been driving the
economy in all health care sectors. Thus, according to my studies on Health
Care Services, health services end up serving patients, communities,
societies, and population numbers. Those who include urgent situation,
precautionary, restorative justice, long-term, hospital, diagnostic, primary,
palliative, and home care services. The above facilities strive to make
healthcare more easily accessible, elevated, and patient-centered

1.a. PUBLIC: National vs Local

 Where the public sector is said to be public health care, to my
knowledge it is usually provided by the government through the
national health care system. Regional Hospitals, Medical Centers can

Philippine Health Care Delivery System and Health Care Services in
the Public National vs Local is in the National it is the one in general,
the health care system of the Philippines is of high quality.
1.b. PRIVATE: Profit vs Non-profit

 In the private sector, one is interests, including market-oriented,

such as general practitioners, private clinics, etc., and the second
difference is that non-profit organizations in this context are non-
profit service organizations, such as religious groups and groups is
foundation. Medical personnel in the Philippines are highly qualified,
but the facilities in which they work are of lower quality than those
found in high-end US or European healthcare institutions.
