Dimension Culture Example

Power Distance Office Culture I believe that in most of work environments exist a
hierarchy according and related to the importance of
their positions so in what we could called office
culture, there is some and respect attributed to
someone only because it's above the hierarchy; so to
some extend the workers in a company accept and
expect that power is distributed unequally.

Uncertainty Mexican Culture We all know how in Mexico no one expects you to
Avoidance arrive on time to a social event. As an example it
someone has a party, and says that it starts at 7:00pm
everyone knows that it's not gonna start until
8:00pm, so everyone arrives late, and when someone
arrives on time or even early departing from the
cultural norm, it is usually not well received.

Individualism vs American Culture American culture is famous for their individualism.

Collectivism Americans tend to view every person as a self-
sufficient individual. Everyone is their own person,
not a representative of a family, community, or any
other group.

Masculinity vs Language Structure I think we can appreciate the dimensions that

Femininity masculinity and Femininity have in the way we think
it’s the structure of of language and which of the
genders we related to the objects, like in spanish we
may think that the moon it's beautiful because it's a
femine word for us, but for germans the sun it's the
one that is beautiful, because in german the sun it's
not a masculine owrid like in spanish.

Long Term vs Short German Culture According to Hofstede, individuals in long-term

Term oriented societies may be more likely to engage in
planned behaviors, and are less likely to help others
by accident, and are less likely to interact with
strangers. We can see this in some European
countries like Germany, when people avoid
interacting with strangers if it's not necessary.

Indulgence vs Religious Culture Most religions believe in an afterlife in which one we

Restraint will be rewarded for our actions in this life, so in these
cultural structures and religious beliefs the path
towards gratification is full of strict social norms, you
must follow to get to heaven.
