ジャン アガ

ジャン・アガ（���� 年生まれ）はパキスタン出身のアーティストです。ハート
フォードシャー大学でファインアートの学士号を取得した後、イギリスの名門ロ
イヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アート（RCA）で修士号を取得しました。幼い頃から
多様な言語や人種が入り混じる中で育った自身の体験や衝動、宗教観を独自に生
み出したアイコニックなキャラクターに落とし込みます。激怒や恍惚、恐怖や悲
嘆といった強い感情を探求しながら、横断的なモチーフを色彩豊かなシンボリズ
ムと共に表現するジャンは、文化的障壁の狭間で、仲介者として橋渡しする役割
を作品を通じて担っているのです。

Jan Agha (b. ����) is an artist from Pakistan. He earned his BFA in Fine Art
from the University of Hertfordshire and his MFA from the prestigious Royal
College of Art (RCA) in England. From an early age, he incorporates his own
experiences, impulses, and religious views from growing up in a diverse
linguistic and racial environment into the iconic characters he has created.
Exploring strong emotions such as rage, ecstasy, fear, and grief, Jan’ s work
bridges the gap between cultural barriers, expressing cross-cutting motifs
with colorful mark-making and symbolism.
