I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lessons the students will be able to:
1. Explain what is narrative writing.
2. Identify the elements of narrative writing
3. Compose a narrative essay.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
A. TOPIC: Compose simple narrative texts
B. REFERENCE: English 7
C. MATERIALS: Laptop, photo cards, projector
III. PROCEDURE
A. PREPARATION:
Ask any volunteer student to lead the prayer.

B. MOTIVATION
Present three different types of essays. Ask students which one is the narrative one.
C. DISCUSSION
Introduce what are sources for.
● Explain what is a narrative essay.
● Explain the elements of writing a narrative essay.
● Present examples.
D. APPLICATION
Write a simple narrative essay about your day so far.
E. GENERALIZATION
Guide questions:
● What is a narrative essay?
● What are the elements of a narrative essay?

IV. EVALUATION
Write a narrative essay about the best day that you ever had.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Ask students to interview another person about their hobbies. Now have the students
compose a narrative essay about the hobbies of the person they interviewed.
