(Who we are)

Spectrum Fibre Limited is a Fibre Optic Infrastructure Company in Ghana with over
3,948+ km of Fibre covering the Western, Eastern and Northern Corridors of the
country, one of the few Fibre Optic infrastructure companies with a backbone Fiber
infrastructure in the western corridor of Ghana. Spectrum Fibre is uniquely
positioned with access points to the Eastern, Western and Northern borders of
Ghana to offer connectivity to the landlocked countries of West Africa. Spectrum
Fibre is strategically positioned to provide connectivity within Ghana and the
neighboring West African countries.

Formed as a Public Private Partnership between Broadspectrum Limited and the
government of Ghana through the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) in
the year 2017, we are committed to delivering data connectivity services (across all
the regions of Ghana) as well as our neighboring countries utilizing our state of the
art Fibre Infrastructure to bridge the digital divide and increase internet penetration
especially in the underserved areas within the sub-region and rest of the world.

FIBRE FOOTPRINT
Our exclusive fibre infrastructure consists of 3,984 km of in-land fibre optic cable
built on a redundant link over a DWDM Technology. This network spans across all the
major towns and cities on the western, eastern, and northern corridors of the country,
traversing fifteen major regions of the country and connecting back to our Accra
Regional Data Center and the rest of the country. This self-healing backbone
Network is a protected route thus offering customers higher availability and SLA for
their services.

Backhaul Solutions

Lamda Solutions: For many businesses and service providers today, data-intensive
applications are driving the need for higher bandwidth. Wavelengths are an ideal
solution to support high bandwidth demand services such as data center backup
and recovery, cloud services, university research and development, electronic
trading and more.
Lambda services enables customers to pass heavy traffic over a wavelength
dedicated to them. Also known as 'virtual dark fibre service', Lambda Services give
customers all the key benefits that comes with dark fibre usage such as the freedom
to control and increase bandwidth usage at no extra cost without compromising on
service quality. Once connected, customers will be able to significantly scale up
capacity by adding wavelength channels.

On Demand Dark Fibre Service


This service offers customers with unlimited bandwidth, maximum control and
network security. The customer can use the dark fibre and run unlimited applications
over Spectrum Fibre's infrastructure spread across different locations. Mobile
Network Operators can make use of this to carry their backbone traffic to exchange
sites, thus ensuring better service delivery to their clients.

Metro Solutions
Internet Solutions:
Our enterprise-class fiber optic Internet Access keeps our customers connected to

Lease and Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) Service


Spectrum Fibre offers a combination of a lease and an Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU)
service to its customers.
This service is designed for the medium to long term, ranging from 3 to 5 years and
offers customers the benefit of bulk capacity at a very affordable cost. This gives our
customers the added advantage to go to market with lesser cost per Mbps against
competition on Spectrum Fiber's fully managed infrastructure.

Enterprise Solutions
Wide Area Network:
Our Wide Area Network (WAN) Service offers customers a completely private, high
performing, and fully managed network solution. It enables customers to securely
connect multiple office locations within Ghana seamlessly. Customers' data travels
across our high-performing network which is completely managed by us to ensure
all customer offices and personnel can operate at their best – there's no more
battling for bandwidth or waiting for a screen to load. With the help of detailed
network performance reporting and class of service profiling options, WAN Service
is an ideal solution for businesses wanting to improve the performance of
applications, drive down network maintenance and management costs and
increase workplace productivity. Government institutions such as District
Assemblies, Municipal Assemblies and relevant agencies can also make use of this
service to improve on their overall delivery of service to the Ghanaian populace.

National Long Distance Service (NLD)


Spectrum Fibre offers National Long Distance (NLD) service that is reliable,
dedicated, “Always on” leased point to point digital circuit for the bulk transport of
data, voice and video.
This service allows simultaneous two-way transmission of digital signals at various
speeds ranging from lower to higher bandwidths depending on the customers
requirement.
The NLD service is available in all our Point of Presence (PoP) locations across the
regions where our fibre transverses and is provisioned over our robust switch
ethernet technology.

Software Defined Wide Area Network:


Spectrum Fibre with its strategic partners, has developed the capability to provide
SD-WAN solutions that bring value to our customers' business. Also, we have created
a Network to Network Interconnection to provide SD WAN service overlay on
traditional MPLS network for our customers.
Being a Software Defined interconnection, Spectrum Fibre can complement its
current infrastructure with Global Internet Access (GIA) as an overlay to customers'
existing MPLS network to deliver higher throughput and efficient network
optimization at low cost.

Wifi Hotspot:
Leveraging on our superior backbone and metro infrastructure we can deliver fast
and reliable internet to various places. Malls, hostels, stadiums can take advantage of
this solution to provide their customers with fast and reliable internet connectivity.

Availability and Support Services
The Spectrum Fibre team works round the clock to provide our customers with a
modern network environment that guarantees performance, efficiency, reliability,
and network productivity to the highest standards.

The team comprises of the:

Network Operations Center (NOC) team


Our NOC team monitors and operates the network with the use of a modern
intelligent Network Management System (NMS). The NMS offers real time alert in
network changes with on-screen, email and SMS alerts, to give on-site engineers and
customers real time updates on our service health.

Field Maintenance team


Our fibre route is divided into zones, each with its dedicated field maintenance team
to ensure high availability of the link and low Mean Time To Respond (MTTR) in the
occurrence of faults as defined in our Service level Agreements.
