ECM

The ECM is located under the Left Hand End of the Dash above the Glovebox.
It incorporates a self diagnosis facility.
When an out of range signal occurs;
A fault code is logged and recorded in the ECM and the Check Engine Light is
illuminated.
With intermittent faults the Check Engine Light may extinguish.
The fault code, however, will remain stored in the ECM unless it is erased.
Should the information from the Sensors be out of the acceptable range;

A “Fail Safe Function” is initiated using previously stored information.
