Technical Comments - ICCMC018
Review Comments 1:
1. Network attack detection and classification using ANN algorithm is the proposed title of the paper.
2. Complete capitalization of paper titles should be avoided.
3. Literature review is very clumsy. A minimum of 20 recent publications should be utilized for the study.
No significant findings are reported in this section
4. Sections should always start with explanation and then followed by figures or tables.
5. Figures are of poor resolution and clarity.
6. Figure 1 caption is missing. Most of figures are barely visible
7. Figures taken from literature should be cited for its source.
8. Authors have mentioned usage of ANN Model in proposed work. But Figure 3 is not suitable for ANN
representation. The exact ANN model used should be projected in the paper.
9. Training and testing data are not clear. Codings need not be presented.
10. A similarity measure of 16% is observed in the paper. It should be revised to under 15%.
11. The following paper could be included as supporting literature.
a. Sharma, Rajesh, and Akey Sungheetha. "An Efficient Dimension Reduction based Fusion of CNN and
SVM Model for Detection of Abnormal Incident in Video Surveillance." Journal of Soft Computing
Paradigm (JSCP) 3, no. 02 (2021): 55-69.
b. Kumar, Dinesh, and Dr S. Smys. "Enhancing Security Mechanisms for Healthcare Informatics Using
Ubiquitous Cloud." Journal of Ubiquitous Computing and Communication Technologies 2, no. 1: 19-28.
c. Sathesh, A. "Enhanced soft computing approaches for intrusion detection schemes in social media
networks." Journal of Soft Computing Paradigm (JSCP) 1, no. 02 (2019): 69-79
d. Vivekanandam, B. "Design an Adaptive Hybrid Approach for Genetic Algorithm to Detect Effective
Malware Detection in Android Division." Journal of Ubiquitous Computing and Communication
Technologies 3, no. 2 (2021): 135-149.
e. Bashar, Abul. "Survey on evolving deep learning neural network architectures." Journal of Artificial
Intelligence 1, no. 02 (2019): 73-82.
Review Comments 2:
1. The title is simple and does not accurately reflect the content. No proper citations are given in sec II.
2. Fig 1 has no title.
3. Fig 7 & 8 do not convey any information about the attributes of the dataset. Images are of poor
resolution.
4. Result section is poorly formulated. All results are elementary and do not convey any enhancement /
innovative feature.
5. In fig 13, seven algorithms are compared with no discussion on their methodology or simulation steps.
Yours’ Sincerely
