METHOD

 The term teaching method refers to the general principles,


pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom
instruction.

 The choice of teaching method depends on its


your educational philosophy, the workspace,
thematic areas and the policies ofthe institution.
THE AUDIOLINGUAL METHODO

The audiolingual method (ALM) drew attention in the 1950s,


mainly in the USA. Where it was based on the military need
during World War II to train large volumes of people in
different languages.
This method prohibits the use of the mother tongue, and
emphasizes listening and speaking skills instead of reading and
writing.InALM,grammar takes priority over vocabulary and
accuracy over fluency, which gives students little opportunity to
produce errors that are considered potentially "contagious."
Finally, the student will speak "automatically."
