MINUTES OF THE MEETING/September 9, 2022

Agenda:

The meeting started @ 5:30 PM.


Before the meeting was set to order, Senior High School teachers warmly welcomed Sir Eugiene
Delos Santos as part of the Braillian community.

1. RELOADING/RESCHEDULING
 Certain changes were made in the teachers’ schedule particularly Teacher Jazmin, Sir Abe,
Teacher Kempoul, and Teacher Rafaela. There were subjects added and some removed. Official
announcement of the revised schedule will be done Monday.
2. PEAC DOCUMENTS
 Teachers who have teaching loads in the Junior HS are advised to report to school to further check
and review the Curriculum Maps, Learning Plans, and the Unpacking of MELCS for these are
PEAC requirements.
 PEAC Visitation is scheduled on February 20 & 23.
3. SHS SCHEDULE FOR TRANSFEREES WITH BACK SUBJECTS
 Section advisers must ensure that students get to have their respective schedules for their back
subjects.
 It was emphasized by Sir Errol that Teacher Rafaela will be the class adviser of Grade XII St.
Bridget and Teacher Jazmin will handle Grade XII St. Anne.
 Moreover, Teacher Arlhine should have all the STEM students to attend for SET A and ALL
HUMMS students for Set B instead of mixing them up for both online and face to face classes.
 Teacher Princess was also reminded to check the Grade XI subjects of KENNETH YAMIT of
Grade XII St. Catherine both for 1st and 2nd semesters. Likewise, Sir Edmund was reminded to
check CLARISE BELISARIO’S back subject.
 Sir Eugiene will teach subjects handled by Teacher Jellene. He is instructed to go over his
assigned class schedule with Teacher Lourdes.
4. FILING OF LEAVE OF ABSENCE
 The filing of absence must be done ahead of time so classes will not be compromised especially
that students don’t have teachers to attend for them.
 Formal letter should be submitted for approval of the school head. Not all filing of leave of absence
is granted unless it is so urgent.
5. PICTURE TAKING
 Section advisers were advised to check who among in their sections have not taken their ID
Picture Taking so they will be accommodated on Monday, September 12. This is to make sure that
everybody is able to wear his/her School ID once full swing of In-Person Classes resume this
November.
6. GROOMING
7. Students MUST observe proper grooming at all times. Teachers should ensure the following:
A. Clean haircut for boys; NO highlights for girls
B. Black shoes for Standard Uniform; White socks for girls are strictly NOT allowed.
C. Polo shirts must be well buttoned and boys should not be allowed to take them off.
8. NOTEBOOKS; TEXTBOOKS
 Notebooks should be required for students per subject for taking down notes, activities, and
quizzes. Notebooks and books should be covered with complete name, section, and name of the
subject.
 QVR students must be informed to avail four (4) books intended for them. They should see
Teacher Judy for these textbooks.

9. FOUNDER’S DAY
 All teachers are invited to attend the Birthday Celebration of our School Head/Directress, DR.
HELEN S. LOSBAŃES on September 16.
 Mass will be held @ 7:30 AM at the School Grounds. Sir Abe is assigned to spearhead the activity.
 300 attendees are expected to attend the Holy Mass with students and parents. Students are
encouraged to bring their offering in kind.
 Braillian students must be in their standard uniform.
 Students will have their short presentations or “pakulo” for our celebrant.
 Teachers are tasked to facilitate the following:
A. Envelopes - Teacher Arlhine & Teacher Jazmin
B. Physical Arrangement – Sir Kempoul
C. Readings – Sir Edmund & Teacher Christine
D. Choir – Sir JC
10. LAUNCHING OF TEACHERS’ MONTH CELEBRATION
 Miss Paula and the SGO Officers will facilitate the event to give due credit for the unwavering love
and commitment of all teachers to deliver best instruction for students.
11. PRELIM EXAMS
 Prelim exams are scheduled on September 20-21 for SHS and 22-23 for JHS.
 70 items for Prelims & Pre-Finals; 80 items for Midterms and Finals
 Students should begin reviewing their notes for the topics discussed in their subjects.
12. TEST QUESTIONS (TQs)
 It is expected that TQs must be IN Monday, September 12 for checking and approval.
 Test questions should be well constructed which cater to HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) of
students.
13. SCHOOL FORMS
 SF 1 & SF 2 should be submitted observing the same schedule. Veracity of information should be
double checked for accuracy (name, birthday, etc.)
14. BRINGING OF CELL PHONES
 Students should be advised NOT to bring their cell phones in class. In case they are instructed by
their parents to bring it along with them, they MUST surrender it to their adviser. The adviser
should turn over cell phones to the admin office for security reasons.
15. CLASS OBSERVATIONS
 Class observation will resume next week. Dr. Losbańes, Miss Paula, and Sir Errol will head class
observations. This is done to better teaching delivery of teachers.
 DTRs (timing in and out) should be observed every day.
 Lessons Plans will be compulsory especially for teachers with Junior High School.
16. OTHER MATTERS
 Students who are willing to have their own lockers should coordinate with Teacher Judy. Payment
for locker within 9 months will cost P1, 350.
 SHS Library will serve as the faculty room for SHS teachers.
 Noisy classes should be avoided more so that other classes are ongoing. The subject teacher
should ensure discipline and orderliness of classes.
 St. Catherine Room (with Teacher Princess) doesn’t have PC until now. Subject teachers have the
difficulty of pulling up their instructional materials which delay time for the intended lesson.
 Teacher Arlhine reiterated that they could not hear responses of online students while teaching the
class.
