Project Optimizing Reflection

This project was about showing the use of math in application in a real world example

with using linear programming and equations. Linear programming can be used to optimze a

situation an example of that transportation. For example when Amazon, FedEx, and other

transporting good companies are trying to figure out the best route that will consist of efficiency

of time and the most amount of goods transported from one place to another. The next time you

receive your amazon package on your front door you can think of linear equations being applied

to real life.

If I were a business owner this lab would have been really beneficial for coming up for

plans of my supply and demand chain. Using this technique of linear equation can let me know

what my customers like the most of out of the products I sell and what I need to get more of.

This expert would have still had the same back bone even if it had different numbers and

data. When setting up linear equations we would still have to solve the same way.

If my numbers were not integers I would havc rounded to the amount of ads I needed. We

should not be afraid of decimals and in real life budgets change all the time. Sometimes you need

to use less money than you excepted and sometimes you need to use much more than anticipated.

This project did not change my opinion on the importance of math , however, it did show

me a perceptive that I don’t think about often. I don’t think about the math that needs to run a

business and tv ad commeracials. The project has just deepened my understanding for the

importance of linear equations.
