Climate change is a serious crisis that is causing glaciers to shrink, earlier break-up of ice on rivers and lakes, shifts in plant and animal ranges, and earlier flowering of trees. Between 2007 and 2017, the estimated cost of responding to extreme weather and fires exacerbated by climate change was $350 billion. Human activities like burning fossil fuels and cutting down trees are releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and causing climate change. Individual actions like using your voice to influence policymakers, eating less meat and dairy, protecting green spaces, reducing car use, and spreading awareness can all help address the problem.

Do you think you really know much about climate change?
Well, we’ve all for sure heard of it but usually our reaction would be like “oh yeah what a big problem” and then continues scrolling through his phone. But is climate change a really big problem? And should we give more attention for climate change?
Yes, for sure. Let me introduce you to what is actually
climate change and what might be the effects and what are the causes that we need to prevent. Climate change already had some observable effects, according to Nasa Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner. Climate changes IS A CRISIS, temperature is getting higher and higher every year that between 2007 and 2017 the estimated cost that the federal government had to pay to respond to extreme weather and fires – which are made worse by climate change – was 350 billion dollars! In addition, climate change is bad for water security and it’s leading to much more droughts than ever before. Soo, what am I supposed to do now? How am I supposed to prevent all of this? Climate change is happening because of us, yes US…ME, YOU, AND HUMAN BEINGS IN GENERAL. Human activities are releasing big amounts of dangerous gases to the atmosphere. Climate change is happening because of all the fossil fuels WE use, all the trees WE cut. I know, right now you might not feel like you got the power to stop all these causes but instead of thinking of what we can’t do let me show you what we can do. “Use your voice, use your vote, use your choice” – al gore, make your voice heard by those who got the power to change this. Eat less meat and dairy products, you might be confused right now but meat and dairy products are one of the biggest reasons for climate change because of all those farms they use. Respect and protect green places, isn’t it annoying when you see some trash in a beautiful green place? Yeah, just make sure not to be the guy who threw that trash. Use your car less, I know it’s hard to leave it just trying using it less…walking is good, isn’t it? Finally, spread the message. Yes, tell everyone about it, make people realize that this isn’t a normal problem, at a certain point this will be a matter of death and life.
At the end, we showed you the causes and effects of global
warming and the causes to prevent these effects. There are much more things to do that you can search for but always remember…spread the message. Good luck!
