Good Day Everyone especially to my subject teacher and the members of the panel may
your day be filled with good thoughts. Today, I (name), standing here in front of you, to
highlight the importance of cleanliness.

In the words of the great John Wesley, "Cleanliness is next to godliness". We have heard this
sentence many times. But do we obey it? Many people don't do it even though we should. Some
of us don't even respect the people who clean the trash. There are many cons for not being clean.
Cleanliness should be respected by everyone.
Cleanliness is the state or quality of being clean or being kept clean. In short cleanliness
means no dust, dirt, stains or unpleasant odors. The goal of cleanliness is health, beauty, freedom
from unpleasant odors, to prevent the spread of deadly disease and impurities to yourself and
others. It is significant to everyone to learn about cleanliness the hygiene, sanitation, and the
various diseases that are caused due to poor hygienic conditions. It is crucial for physical well-
being and it also crucial to maintain a healthy environment at home and school. With the help of
cleanliness, we can keep our physical and mental health clean and peaceful which will make us
feel good and also it gives rise to a good character. Maintaining cleanliness is the essential part
of healthy living because it helps to improve our personality both external and internal.
It is everybody’s responsibility to keep their surroundings clean because it prevents dangerous
diseases such as dengue fever, typhoid fever and hepatitis, as well as diseases such as mosquito
bites. Diseases such as jaundice, cholera, ringworm, leptospirosis, ascariasis, scabies,
schistosomiasis, and trachoma this can be transmitted by eating contaminated food, drinking
contaminated water, or living in unsanitary conditions. Garbage also emits an unpleasant odor
that is unbearable. If you don't clean it, dirt and dust will build up. On the other hand, not
maintaining personal hygiene also leads to having a lot of skin problems and decreased
immunity.
Here are some clean habits to follow:
 Always wash your hands before eating.
 You should brush your teeth at least twice.
 No one should throw garbage.
 Daily bathing is mandatory.
 It is also very important to wash your hands after playing.
 You must cover your nose when sneezing and your mouth when yawning.
 If anyone has pests and rodents in their home, they must be removed as soon as possible.
 Food must always be covered.
For this, The Philippine government established the WASH program which stands for water
access, sanitation, and hygiene. It aims to bring this program to all marginalized communities - a
participatory intervention that will result in to access clean and potable water, an improvement in
sanitation facilities, and correct hygiene practices in the community to have a clean and prudent
environment.
Good health will ensure a healthy mind and body which will lead to increased overall
productivity resulting in higher standards of living. Having a clean environment is an
environment which fewer people falling ill. Cleanliness hence is defined to be the emblem of
purity in mind and the prosperity of our country.
That all thank you so much for your unwavering attention throughout this presentation I hope
you've learned something from it.
