We see ourselves in a way others cannot. There are times that other people used to misinterpret
us because they only rely on what they see and what they think we are. Of course, we do vice versa, we
only judge other people the way how they act towards us. We are the master of our own self; we are
more aware and we are also the ones who totally know who we are. The self idea refers to who we
believe we are, as well as the image we have of ourselves and the image we believe others have of us.
The way we think about ourselves has a big impact on our overall health. It has an impact on how we
perceive our bodies, how we express ourselves and connect with our friends, and even how we make
decisions. Self-concept also has an impact on how people communicate with one another. Each
individual will communicate according to their own self-perception. Their manner of thinking, abilities,
talent, interest, gender, attractiveness and other self-concept factors will all influence how they
communicate with others. We feel good about ourselves when we can compare ourselves favorably to
others. As other people misinterpret us in the way we act, they easily think that we are not good, they
easily tend to distance, without considering that we are more than what they think.
