• 2 students with questions about languages you speak with a relative but can’t write or have the
business vocabulary: it is ok
• Language test codes ELAO for German and Spanish: is normal, buy
• French for beginners: check if you can find the ELAO code when looking at the books you need to
buy + buy it

Logging in
Why do I need to log in?
You get access to all available sources on the Artevelde
network (study-related and personal).
How and where do I log in?
On Artevelde computers (computer rooms, the library
etc.):
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on the computer, and use your
student login data: username@student.arteveldehs.be,
and the password you received.
Log out again when you leave: otherwise, someone else
can use your email and access all your personal data
within Artevelde.

WiFi access @campus
There are 3 WiFi networks available at Artevelde:
1. AHS-Gasten (= only for guests)
2. Artevelde HS Veilig (= secure)
3. eduroam
It is recommended connecting to eduroam.
You need to log in using your Artevelde user name and password.

= A portal site to access all Artevelde applications and resources: your Artevelde email
(Outlook), your (exam) schedule, information about absences, about your study
programme etc.

What more do I need to know?
Use the menu bar on the left to navigate a Canvas course.
This is also where you can find announcements, assignments,
the course ECTS sheet, the People tab (overview of other
students and teachers) and course-specific plug-ins (such as
an online textbook).

• Hub for collaboration
• Used for online lessons (live@home), coaching sessions,
oral exams
• Useful for off-campus group projects:
- work on shared documents
- (video) calls
• App or full version (more features - download via
MyDinar)

The advantages of Teams over WhatsApp or Facebook:
• The latest version of your files is always in 1 place
• You can edit files together, at the same time
• Easy to have online meetings and share your screen
• A very common tool in companies, good to already know the pros and cons
• There is also an app available
