Description of Duties
 Design of barrage and its components, analysis of divide wall,
abutment wall etc.
 Preparation of Drawings & supervision of estimates made based
on drawings.
 Review of feasibility studies for Kas Umar Khan Canal carried out
by NDC in 1998 and water availability study for Khurram River by
ACE in 2015.
 Review the water allowance, irrigation intensity and cropping
pattern of the area.
 Calculation of ET0 using Modified Pen Man Monteith Equation and
comparing results with Cropwat 8.0 software.
 Calculation of ETC using Kc Crop for the existing cropping pattern.
 Crop water requirements of the project area and calculation of
water allowance.
 Prepare capacity and command statements for the watercourse,
minor, distributary and main canal.
 Determination of location of each hydraulic structure including
outlets. Prepare Chakbandi plan of each outlet showing field
levels, location of nakkas etc.
 Design of longitudinal profiles including layout plans and cross
sections for all the proposed irrigation works.
 Design of various hydraulics structures like head regulator, cross
regulator, outlet, culverts, barrage, cross drainage structures,
irrigation network, escape structures etc.

 Master planning reports, Project documents and Water Quality
Reports of the Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Pani Project.
 Preparation of Feasibility reports for 17 Tehsils of package-II.
 Cost Estimates of standard design of water supply schemes to be
used in “Option Analysis” for the Punjab Drinking water (Saaf
Pani) Project.
 Option Analysis for the project to choose the cheapest and most
reliable option for supplying of water to different villages.
 Clustering of 17 Tehsils, from 500m Buffers maps and used to
calculate population of 2035 from the census report of 1998.
