ABSTRACT

This research describes a low-cost solution for a small-scale intelligent trash container. The Arduino
Nano board and an ultrasonic sensor are used to monitor the container's fullness level and send SMS
notifications through a GSM module. A lithium battery power bank is used to power the system, which is
supplemented by a solar cell panel. Using the power bank, the system allows you to charge external
portable gadgets. Furthermore, while the bin is being used, the system will save usage and fullness
events on a memory card, which is also utilized to deliver an audio message through a speaker. Finally,
the system is successfully developed at a cost that is appropriate for the application. According to the
test findings, the system's performance was adequate.
