INT. HILLTOP LIBRARY - DAY
JOSEPH, 18, dragonboat CCA singlet, slippers. He is studying
with MIKHAIL, 18, neatly parted hair, button up top.

CHERYL, 18, SP jacket and blue FBT sits at the table

opposite the boys. She sneezes loudly and repeatedly.
MIKHAIL
What’s wrong with her?

JOSEPH
She’s sick la, then?
MIKHAIL
(shudders)
Ew...

JOSEPH
She can hear you, you know.
MIKHAIL
But that’s gross! I’m going to
shift before I get sick.
JOSEPH
(beat)
Fine.

MIKHAIL
(beat)
Don’t complain when you get sick
ah.

Joseph grabs a tissue packet that is on top of Mikhail’s

bag.
Mikhail smacks Joseph’s hand.
MIKHAIL
Oei, that’s my last pack.
JOSEPH
Just give her la, you say she’s
gross what.

Cheryl bends over to rummage through her blue bag for

tissues.
Joseph tosses the pack onto Cheryl’s table.
Cheryl comes up empty-handed. She picks up the tissue pack
and scans around. She shrugs and uses it.

INT. HILLTOP LIBRARY - DAY

Joseph enters with a Guardian plastic bag of tissues.

ANOTHER GIRL is sitting where Cheryl sat the day before.

Every time the door opens, Joseph looks up hoping to see
Cheryl.

Cheryl enters. She puts her laptop on another seat and

leaves to hand in her CA.
Joseph places a blue Hello Kitty tissue packet on her
laptop.

INT. HILLTOP LIBRARY - DAY (CONT’D)

Cheryl enters with VALERIE. Valerie points to tissue pack.
VALERIE
Since when you got bring tissues
one?
CHERYL
It’s not mine, I got one yesterday
too.

Cheryl shrugs and sits down.

VALERIE
Wah, your guardian angel is it?

CHERYL
(looks down smiling)
I wonder.

INT. HILLTOP LIBRARY - DAY

Cheryl enters.
Joseph coughs and sneezes repeatedly. Empty blue Hello Kitty
tissue packets and used tissues on table.

Cheryl looks over to see Joseph having the same tissue

packets. She takes the tissue pack Joseph gave her and walks
over.
CHERYL
Thanks for this but I think you
need it more than I do.
Cheryl smiles.

INT. HILLTOP LIBRARY - DAY

Mikhail enters after class. He sees Joseph from afar and
walks faster to the table.
Reveals Cheryl and Joseph sitting opposite each other with a
big box of tissues between them.
