A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:


1. Knowledge:
- Greet and self- introduction
- Follow and give classroom commands
2. Competence:
-Communication, ability to use language (work in groups, talk about greeting)
-Ability to solve problems (play the games)
-Cooperation: (work in groups/ pairs)
- Using language to greet and self- introduction.
- Using knowledge to do exercises
3. Quality /Attitude:
- Students be more friendly and confident in communicate with their friends and
other people.
- Promote the quality of being responsible for yourself and work hard to practice
speaking and listening in English.
4. Skills:
- Listening and speaking

B. LANGUAGE FOCUS
1. Vocabulary: stand up, sit down, hands up, hands down, be quite, make a
line
2. Sentence pattern: Stand up, please
      C. MATERIALS 
- Teacher: Lesson plan, books, CD, stereo.
- Students: Student book, word book
    D. TEACHING PROCEDURE
Procedure Assessment tools
1. Warm up:
- Play game let Ss introduce some information about Play game
themselves (maybe in Vietnamese) and introduces
oneself in English.
2. Presentation/ While-teaching
+ Task 1: Look, listen and repeat.
- Have Ss open their books page 6. – “What can you -Observation
see in the pictures in your book?” -Q & A
- T suggests each picture for Ss to answer -Answer keys
- Use 2 puppets to present the situation.

- Have pupils look at the picture.
-What are they doing in the picture?
- Ask pupils to identify the character in the pictures.

- Use flashcards to teach the greetings in the speech -Observation

- Ask Ss to practice in pairs.
- Monitor the activity.

- Call on some pairs (4-5 pairs) “Tell me about to

3. Practice/ While- teaching:
+ Task 3: Let’s sing. -Observation
- Put the large piece of paper with the song on the -teaching methods by

- Read the song.
- Divide the class to two and sing the song.
- Sing with class
- Call on some volunteers to sing the song.

Production/ Post-teaching:
Ask students to answer the following questions: -Observation
1. What have you learnt from the lesson today?(talk -Questions and
about our ability and use the sentence pattern “Stand answers
