3 Speaker

rd

Greeting
A very good morning I bid to the chair speaker, respected judges,
accurate time keeper, loyal teammates, the opponents and members of
the hall.
My job as the 3rd speaker of the opposition team is simple. I’m
rebutting the 3 points given by the government side and discuss why
opposition side wins this debate.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, we are debating on this motion “This house believe that single-
sex schools are good for education” and we as the opposition side
whole-heartedly disagree with this proposal.
They are stated that:
Key-point number 1:
1)
………………………………………………………………………….....
...............................................................................................................We
strongly disagree with this statement
because…………………………………………………………………
…………………………………………………………………………
Key-point number 2:
2)
………………………………………………………………………….....
...............................................................................................................We
strongly believe that this statement is absurd
because…………………………………………………………………
…………………………………………………………………………..
Key-point number 3:
3)
………………………………………………………………………….....
...............................................................................................................We
strongly believe that their case totally fall to the ground
because…………………………………………………………………
……………………………………………………………………………

We totally stand that single-sex school is not good for education

based on our 3 firm and solid keypoints which are:
1)Key point number 1: single-sex schools promotes poor social skills
or we can call it as anti-social especially to the opposite gender.
2)Key point number 2: single-sex institutions promote LGBT as the
sexual-preferences and are bad for the emotional health of males.
3) Key point number 3: single-sex schools are the manifestation of
patriarchal societies.
Let me justify our first key point which is single-sex schools promotes
poor social skills or we can call it as anti-social especially to the
opposite gender.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Have you ever heard the terms of androphobia and gynaephobia?
These two terms are related of fear of the opposite gender. Where
androphobia is fear of men and gynaephobia is fear of women. It is
believed that single-sex school promotes these kinds of mental disorders.
Schools that are exclusive for certain genders, say, all girls or all boys,
limit the chance of student to meet and communicate with people
from opposite sex and this can suppress the development of their
social skills.

Our second point is single-sex institutions promote LGBT as the

sexual-preferences and are bad for the emotional health of males.
Single-sex schooling has been a controversial issue for decades. The
current study investigated the differences in friendship, dating, and
sexual orientation between 207 college students who attended single sex
secondary schools and 249 college students who attended co-educational
or mix-gender secondary schools in Hong Kong. This research found
that, compared to graduates of mixed-gender schools, graduates of
single-sex schools reported intimate relationship favoring the same
sex, less romantic involvement with other gender close friends and
more past same-sex sexuality. This clearly an alarming pandemic and
slightly contradict to the Malaysian National Education Philosophy
which to produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually,
emotionally and physically balanced and harmonious.
Last but not least our third key point single-sex schools are the
manifestation of patriarchal societies.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Single-sex schools are a throwback to the patriarchal society of the past.
Let me remind you the ‘divide and rule’ policy introduced by the British
Colonial in Malaya. Did this policy benefit us as a multi-racial country?
I don’t think so! This is the same as the ideology that single-sex school
brings. Single-sex school is totally outdated and destructive gender
stereotypes.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Instead of viewing the mixing of boy and girls as a barrier to education
it should be seen as an opportunity for learning and integration.
Acceptance and equality are incredibly important, and this is encouraged
by mix-gender schools.
With these three solid key points, we are very3x proud to oppose! and
win this debate. Thank You.
