INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE- DAY 1

Activity 1: Welcome on board!

Hello everyone, in my first word, I would like to send my warmest welcome to all of
you. Welcome you guys to my JUNIOR IELTS CLASS. Please bear in your mind that
you will be not alone in this very long journey because I am here with you.

This is a brief information about your teacher. It’s me. My full name is NTA. But I
love to be called Ms. Ann.

I have a Bachelor's degree in English from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
I also got IELTS 8.0 Overall Certificate.
I am confident in teaching with more than 3 years of experience at many English
centers in Ho Chi Minh City.
I have completed my training and got my IELTS teaching certification from IDP and
got my teaching certification from the University of Arizona.

I would love to more about my beloved students. Be ready for some interesting
activity together

Activity 2: Let’s get to know about the ielts test.

A. What’s IELTS?
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to
assess the language ability of people who want to study or work where
English is the language of communication.

There are two modules to choose from – Academic and General Training. In
our courses, we focus on Academic module
B. The level of the test
IELTS is designed to assess English language skills across a wide range of
levels. There is no such thing as a pass or fail in IELTS. Results are reported
as band scores on a scale from 1 (the lowest) to 9 (the highest).

C. Academic Test format

The test covers all four language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking.
