MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

This MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT is entered into by and between:

The___________________________________________________________, represented herein by its OIC

_______________________________________________, with office address at
___________________________________________, herein referred to as the “________________________”;

-And-

The ______________________________________________________________-, a duly registered Association with

DOLE Registry No.__________________________________________, with official address at
______________________________________________________ herein represented by its President
_________________________________________ herein referred to as “PEOPLE ORGANIZATION”.

-WITNESSETH-

WHEREAS, there is a need to reforest denuded mangrove areas to increase fisheries

production and provide natural protection from the typhoons and other weather
disturbances in the coastal areas;

WHEREAS, another expected impact of Mangrove Plantation and Rehabilitation Project is

enhanced coastal ecosystem which ensure natural productivity of the coastal resources
along with coral reefs, seagrasses and estuaries which will lead to increase income for
coastal communities and sustainable coastal resources management;

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the parties hereto
agree as follows;

Section I

RESPONSIBILITIES OF __________________________

1.1 Provide technical assistance in the inspection and validation of the proposed
rehabilitation/plantation site in the municipality;

1.2 Provide technical assistance in nursery management, handling of seedlings, site

preparation and planting techniques in relation to the approved planting design and
reforestation plan;

1.3 Supervise the actual planting of seedling to ensure that it is in accordance with the
approved planting design;
1.4 Pay the association the amount of Php 25.00 per seedling planted inclusive of labor
and stakes and 2.00 per seedling survived during the inspection 6 months after the
planting;

1.5 Provide 50,000 mangrove seedlings as planting materials covering a total area of
Fifteen (15) hectares in Barangay Homapon and adjacent barangays; with a suggested
survival of 3,334 seedling per hectare within 3 months after the completion of planting;

1.6 Conduct meeting with the beneficiaries and continuously monitor the rehabilitation
site to ensure the sustainability of the project of the project efforts and benefits;

Section II

RESPONSIBILITIES OF FISHERFOLK ASSOCIATION

2.1 Assist in the survey and validation of the proposed site for mangrove planting;

2.2 Ensure that 80% (40,000) of the planting species are seedlings of Pagatpat and Miapi
reared in the nursery and 20% (10000) are Bakawan as planting species and provide
stakes and labor to implement the aforesaid activity based on the planting design

2.3 Provide appropriate manpower and logistical support to implement the activity;

2.4 Provide maintenance and protection of the rehabilitation site such as temporary
fencing, signage and accurate accounting of the all planted seedling for consolidation
and billing of _________________________________ ;

Section III

AMENDMENT

Any amendments, alteration or modification to this Memorandum of Agreement shall be

made in writing and duly signed by each of the parties concerned,

Section IV

EFFECTIVE AND TERMINATION

This Memorandum of Agreement shall take effect on the date of signing by all parties and
shall continue to be in full force three (3) years after the implementation of the activity or
until the project officially close unless sooner terminated by any of the contracting party
upon justification sources to be determined by proper authorities, provided a written
Notice of Termination is issued at least thirty (30) days prior to termination date, provided
further such termination will not prejudice any on-going project in the municipality.
