The table shows ages 31 respondents use to plant tree a in their forms making 26&
while 89 with 74% don't observe and conduct tree planting.

74 respondent making 62% know the consequences of tree felling without replacent,
while 46 respondents, (38%) don't even know the consequences.

The table shows that majority of the respondents are between ages of 40-50 years,
who constitute about 33.3% while 8.3% the respondents are about the ages 60 years
and above.
This is because the ages of 40-50 years are people with more capacity to perform the
business than those with in 50 years and above.

Males constitute 103 respondents which make up 85% and females 15% of the
respondents with 18 persons. This is because the market is almost dominated by
Muslim their religion and culture does not permit women to perform such business.

My sincere gratitude goes to my project supervisor, Muhammad Danyaro, who
devoted his official and private time in guiding me towards the proper completion of
this work up. My sincere thanks also go to Malam Garba Ahmed Hadejia who
contributed greatly towards successful completion of this project.
I cannot finish my acknowledgement without mentioning my lecturers who play
important role during the course of my study they include Malam Ya'u Idris Aujara,
Alh Kawu Ilu, Malam Sani Musa, Malam Lawan Kazaure, Dr Muhammed Ahmed
Gumel, and Haruna Yahaya (welder).

HISTORY OF THE STUDY AREA

Gujungu firewood Market was established in the year 1985, it is located in Gujungu
in Taura Local Government Area Jigawa State Nigeria.
A sector at the popular Gujungu Market in Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa
State is said to be a bad spot (red light district) which harbors prostitutes, gamblers,
singers and others who showcase their nightlife activities in public. According to a
special report by Arewa Dailypost, the government authorities have failed to curtail
the kind of activities going on there despite series of reports brought to their attention.
Young children and underage residents are said to have made their place their second
home due to the kind of pleasure they derive from there.
