PREAMBLE:-
President, Karnataka State Government Employees Association
vide letter read above has requested the State Government to consider the
period of absence of Government servants suffering from Kidney disease
(failure) and has to undergo dialysis on regular basis as Special casual
leave as they could not attend to the olfice on account of treatment and
rest for the particular day. The matter has been examined by Government
and hence the following order.

After Rule 11(H) of Annexure-B of Karnata-ka Civil Seryices Rules,
the following new rule 11(I) shall be inserted with effect from the date of
issue of this order:-

"Government servants may be allowed a day's Special Casual leave

for undergoing dialysis treatment subject to production of medical
certificate from the competent medical authority to the effect that tl.e
Government servant is suffering from Kidney disease (failure) and has to
undergo dialysis on regular basis".
