Critique Paper

Description:
This artwork is from Carl Vincent Boticario. He is 19 years old, lives in San
Pedro, Laguna. He is a 1st Year AB Philosophy in Don Bosco College Canlubang. His
hobbies are playing, listening to music and watching movies. He draws this when he
is in the seminary during his playing time. He wants to share this artwork from
everyone so that it will be one of the main reason to stop the wars and to help each
other during the pandemic. He tries to draw it in digital art because he wants to post
it in his social media accounts.

Analysis:
This work of Carl Vincent Boticario entitled Peace in Mother Earth used
different types of principles and elements of design just like, harmony, contrast,
balance, emphasis, lines, colors, and etc. He used colour to creates specific moods,
atmospheres, channels emotions and each shade has certain specific
connotations associated with it. In short, colour can make or break your design,
and he also uses lines that helps to enhance, direct, and created movement, by
using simple white lines to execute each illustration, the design as a whole is given
cohesivity and a recognisable style. He also used Symmetry to create his logo or
his work in order to create a harmonious and balanced design.

Interpretation:
This artwork of him showed to all people around the world , the main reason
to stop the wars and to help each other during the pandemic. This work of him
promotes peace around the world amids of the problems that our world faced
today which is Covid-19. This is also promotes peace in every country especially on
the country that was fighting, between Ukraine and Russia.
Judgement:
The artwork are really good, I like the designs, the shapes, colors, lines, and
figures. I like also the combinations of the color I like how Mr. Boticarion edited the
flags of differents countries around the globe. The message that this artwork are
really understable, as you can see in the artwork, there is a Dove and Dove
represents peace that’s why if you see this work at very first time, you will
understand on whhat the message that the creator trying to tell us without asking
him. Over all I like all the details of this work very appropriate, and understable, and
also clean artwork.
