Meet Bonita and Yello

Randiyon Eleonora
For this project i had the chance meet a very
unique family.
a family that not only made me say "Awww" a
million times but also made me laugh and also
think harder about the way animals are treated
here at Curaçao. For this task I had to create
a collage that symbolizes the feeling of a family.
They said to make i unique, so that i did. That is
why i scoured across the internet to look for
someone who has a unique enough story to
document. when I made the facebook post.
between 30 minutes i got 5 people that was
willing to do it, by the next day I had 10.
it was a bit overwhelming at first but i texted
and handled all of them. then i met "Yello" and
"Bonita", and they won my heart. A mother and
daughter and their 2 dogs Yello a small a dog full
of energy that doesnt mess around with his
treats and Bonita shy dog with a tragic
backstory.
i instantly messaged the and got a photoshoot
and a small interview for the next day. the
suggested "Koredor" as a spot to shoot
beacause the walk their dogs there always.
without further ado. meet…

Yello

Bonita
Yello is a super social and ecstatic dog

While Bonita is more shy

Yello was bought at a pet shop

He likes to be around people

He even stormed the neighbors

party
Bonita is more shy and doesn't come to people
that much
Bonita was a stray found in a shipping
container, her mother had just passed away.
when they found Bonita, she was in terrible
shape. so they took care of her until she
could find a new owner.
but then the duo fell in love with Bonita and
just couldn't let her go, so they kept her.

they both say that Animals may not

understand what we are saying, but they do
understand us by feel and energy. they know
when wwe are happy and they know when we
are sad. they know when we are scared and
they know when we are mad.

"People here at Curaçao have to treat animals

with more care". Curaçao's has a problem with
strays the capacity of the dogs in the shelter
has reached it's peak and there's no where to
put these dogs at.

There's so many dogs like Bonita walking on

the streets.
before i end this I
would like to thank
both Giggiola and
Khaela Marin for
giving me the chance
do do this all. the
Energy was great and
I was glad I could have
share my love for
animals with sombody
else
