Personal Reflection On Project Scheduling
Personal Reflection On Project Scheduling
One very important aspect that I have learnt from the expansion project is that it requires
the combination of industry specific knowledge, technical skills and people skills. The quest to
gains and expand on skills is always a beautiful thing. The project also confirms that the
effective tools applied are also dependent on desired outcomes and effective tools applied. In the
project, I have learnt that the project knowledge and experience follow a similar pattern.
Learning on the projected outcome on the expansion will also be based on the understanding,
One thing that I have loved and feel that I have explored is on the need and application
for communication, collaboration and motivations skills in any project. I have also learnt on the
need to have earned value, useful tools and business skills in order to explore any industry or
business especially where major projects are involved. I have also gained a strong understanding
in strong planning abilities. This includes having the ability to set clear, realistic and more
specific goals for the different scheduled timelines involved in a project. Budget management is
also a field that I have very well mastered. From the simulations, I have learnt on how to handle
One of my biggest growth in knowledge has been from learning how to manage time and
have good relationship management. The two forms a good basis to having a good and effective
project. In any engagement, time management and having the right relationships will help in
forming and having the right questions. As a project manager also, keeping time, having the right
work on. Problem solving is one. In all projects, having this skill is essential. It forms a good
basis to have good, effective and collaborative members of the project. A project always involves
a team, the capability of bringing the team together and solving any existing problems will be of
great aid. Another aspect that I need to improve on is risk management. In every project, there
are risks involved. A good project manager is required to be aware of their surrounding
environment and the risks that may face a project both external and internal. Learning how to
manage and overcome risks will form a good basis to having successful projects.
The course of action that I would take to gain additional experience in project scheduling
is having a more understanding of the listings of milestones, the activities involved in a project,
the deliverables from the starting of the project and the finish dates of a project. More knowledge
on the different aspects will form a good basis to learn and gain more experience on scheduling. I
would also learn more on the various scheduling techniques such as critical path method,
program evaluation and review Techniques, Fast tracking and Gantt charts. Learning the five
techniques will assist define the project goals, identify different stakeholders involved, and list
