Readings in Philippine History

1.How do you describe the journey that the

country experienced in order to gain the
independence we are now enjoying?
As the war ended, the Philippines counted the cost. Over a million
Filipinos had died or were killed. Manila and most of the major cities
were in ruins. Establishments, Food source are also affected, and I can
still say we Filipinos are strong to hold on for that long fight against
other countries that took most the life of our others kababayan. And it
been 120 years since we gain the freedom, or the Independence Day was
declared, and Philippines deserved that freedom we’ve fight for! Salute to
all our heroes who do sacrifices their life.

2. How do you value this independence? Explain.

Independence day was the day where many Filipinos sacrifices,
killed, and Our Heroes stand for our country appreciating all the
things they did for our country.
