This justification / letter request is in connection with our desire to ask your good
office for an approval or authority to purchase one (1) unit of Passenger Van Customized
for Rescue Vehicle and one (1) unit of Dump Truck for the use of our Municipal Disaster
Risk Reduction Management Office. Below are the specifications of the vehicles, to wit:

 One of our priorities is to provide our constituents with their basic health needs and
also their safety during emergency cases. And the above said vehicles will be a great help, so
we could quickly provide free transport services in this kind of situation.

At present, we do not have dump truck. We only have one ambulance that is being
utilized by our constituents during emergency cases. But there were instances, wherein we
needed to secure another ambulance to our nearby municipality to address two or more
different emergency situations. But unfortunately there were times when their ambulance is
also unavailable, either being used by their constituents, or has some mechanical problems.
Thus, relying on other municipality’s ambulance is not advisable and unpractical.

Regarding this matter, we would like to grab the opportunity to give our people with
the said vehicles through the DILGs BUB Project that will provide MDRRM services more
effective and reliable during calamities and other emergency cases. The said LGSF Project is
the answer to the problem of our municipality to have a new dump truck and ambulance
fully equipped with emergency accessories.

the rescue vehicle and dump truck will be deploying solely for the use of
Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office headed by Mr. Almario L. Ortiz,
designated MDRRMO of this municipality. They will use the said vehicles for
the Rescue Operation and other DRRM Services.
