1. Recall what you gather from Week-1 materials (textbook chapter, videos, etc.) and connect it
with your own learning experience. How do you feel about your own study skills/learning
styles? How can you yet improve them?

The learning-styles perspective has gained significant traction in the educational field, and it
is commonly encountered at levels ranging from kindergarten to graduate school.
Furthermore, the concept of learning styles is accepted in various forms. Some students
appear to learn better when information is presented verbally (verbal learners), whereas
others appear to learn better when information is presented visually (visual learners). Based
on the video that I watched, there are 13 scientific strategies to help student in order to
improve their learning. There are spaced Repetition, Read Aloud, Flashcard Effect,
Mnemonics, Exercise, The Feynman Technique, Mind Mapping, The Picture Superiority Effect,
Meditate, Teach the Content to Others, Active Note-Taking, Practice More Problems, and the
last one is Intrinsic and Extrinsic Rewards.

For me, the most effective way to improve my own learning experiences are mixed method
between Read Aloud, Mnemonics, and Teach the Content to Others. The first step is by doing
the Read Aloud method, I tend to read aloud the materials that I have learned because by
doing that I can easily memorized it. Also, I usually change the formal words into informal so
I can understand it better, other than that, I like to discuss the material with my colleagues so
we can exchange our understanding even greater, for example doing focus group discussion.
In conclusion, I prefer to study with others verbally.
