Preliminary Page 1. These contain the title page, approval sheet, acknowledgment,

table of contents, list of tables, and list of figures of the research study.

Title Page 2. This part contains the title of the research study.

Approval Sheet 3.This part indicates the approval of the panel members together and

the date of acceptance of the dean of the college.

Acknowledgement 4.It contains brief statement of the aim of the research study and

researcher’s statement of indebtedness to other persons or agencies.

Table of Content 5.It shows all the parts of the research study including the

preliminaries, chapter headings of the paper, the main headings and its subdivisions.

List of Tables 6.It follows the table of contents which are composed of data presented

in tables.

List of Figures 7.It is a list of pictorial presentations or graphic illustrations which are

derived from tables.

Statement of the Problem 8. This part discusses the problem situation or condition,

relevant observations and information that lead the researcher to propose the study.

Scope and Limitations of the Study 9. This part of the research paper describes the

parameters of the study that answers the basic questions such as What, Where,

When, Why, Who and how of research.

Background and Purpose of the Study10. It contains the purpose of the research

study and the questions and/or sub-problems that the study intends to answer.

Hypothesis of the Study 11. It is a testable prediction of the researcher about what

he expects to happen in the research study.

Theoretical Framework 12.It is a structure that supports and describes the theory of

the research study.


Conceptual Framework 13.It is a figurative representation that describes and

explains the conceptual model, the meanings of figures, the contents and the

processes involved.

Definition of Terms 14.This includes definitions of variables and other important

terms.

Research Design 15.This part discusses the research design, methods or

techniques.

Setting of the Study 16.This part describes the venue or locale of the study as well

as its history, vision and mission and other specific descriptions related to the research

study.

Subject of the Study 17.This part describes the nature and characteristics of the

respondents or subject of the study including the size of population and the sampling

technique utilized in the study.

Appendices 18.This part uses Gantt Chart of activities to guide discussions.

Procedure of the Study 19.This part of the research paper describes in details the

research instrument used in the study.

Statistical Treatment 20.This part contains the statistical tools used in answering the

research problems.
