Overview of Roles UBM is looking for 5 qualified sales / business development professionals to support and drive further growth on the following events. If you have a proven record of exceeding sales targets and strong client relationship management skills one of these could be an excellent opportunity for you. Conference and Awards Sales Executive The Conference and Awards Sales Executive will be responsible for sponsorship and exhibition revenue for a portfolio of large conferences and awards which serve the property, construction, architecture and interiors communities, often run in partnership with Building, BD and Property Week. The number and scale of events varies from year to year, although it is expected that portfolio will contain at least 6 gala awards events and 6 large conferences (with revenue over 100K each). RESI Sales Executive RESI (www.resievent.com) is the UKs leading event for the residential sector servicing the top house builders, developers, investors, banks, funds, consultants and surveyors. Due to the substantial growth and success of the event, the successful candidate will be required to support and drive further growth on the UK portfolio. They will be motivated by taking ownership of projects, providing excellent customer ROI, developing new revenue streams and achieving sales targets. Building Future Education Building Future Education (www.bfeuk.com) is the UKs leading event for the education design, built and manage sector. The event serves the education organisations, from primary to H.E, public and private, state, free schools and academies who are involved in creating world class learning environments. Key exhibitors and sponsors are top constructors, architects, funders, private education

providers, consultancies and facilities management. Building Future Education is a global brand, launching successfully in Abu Dhabi three years ago and with other spin off events planned in other territories for early 2012. The successful candidate will be required to support and drive further growth, initially on the UK portfolio and as the role develops, across the international events.

Decorex Sales Executive


The Decorex Sales Executive will be responsible for selling sponsorship and exhibition space for the prestigious Decorex International show. Decorex International is THE annual interior design show for professionals. World renowned as a unique and edited gathering of the finest purveyors of top-end design and interior products for those specifying in the hospitality and residential sectors. The successful candidate will ideally have a passion for and knowledge of the interiors market and a commitment to the overall exhibitor / sponsor experience. Sleep Sales Executive The Sleep event showcases the latest products for the design, architecture and development of hotels. The event is renowned as providing a platform for original design concepts for hotel interiors. It brings together hundreds of suppliers, providing furniture, bathroom products, entertainment systems, fabrics and wall coverings, surfacing technologies, building and construction materials, technology solutions, beds and more related products for the hotel industry.

Key Responsibilities: To work towards and achieve annual revenue targets for exhibitions and sponsorship sales To achieve KPIs including meeting and call levels (minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes talk time per day) To develop new business accounts (including FTSE 100 companies) To prospect and send proposals to at least 5 new clients per week To build enduring relationships with key accounts with a strong emphasis on repeat business Create and deliver exceptional commercial packages for customers, providing an end-toend service which ensure unrivalled ROI To provide clear communication with customers To work with the Sales Manager to plan and execute the re-book campaign To work closely with other teams including marketing and operations to ensure sponsorship fulfilment To develop a thorough understanding of the relevant sectors To accurately forecast pipeline Ensure the CRM and accounting system is always accurate and up to date Contribute to post-show report and debrief meetings

Minimum Skills & Experience Required: Experience of selling to senior decision makers ideally from blue chip or FTSE 100 companies (CEO, MD, senior directors) Exceptional telesales skills Well developed questioning and probing skills with an analytical approach enabling the interpretation of answers. Articulate, with the ability to show how event capabilities align with the needs of the client. Working experience of effective project management from delivering previous sales packages A history of achieving and exceeding sales targets and understanding gross profit margins

A proven record of developing new business accounts A proven record of delivering sponsorship/exhibition packages Understanding of event cycles and working with marketing and logistics functions Ability to self-manage
