What is Mailvelope?

Mailvelope is a tool that works in Firefox or Chrome to facilitate end-to-end

encrypted email. When you send an end-to-end encrypted email, that means that only you and
your contact can read your messages, and no one else — not your email provider, your
contact’s email provider, or any network snoopers.

How does Mailvelope protect emails?

The browser extension Mailvelope provides end-to-end encryption for your existing email
address. Encrypt your mails without having to change your email provider! Encryption and
decryption take place exclusively on the end devices. This means that your private data will
never leave your device unencrypted.

How to download Mailvelope?

Select a browser of your choice (Google, Firefox) and download application. From the below

To generate key go to key management and then to generate key and fill in all the required
details and then click on generate.

In order to have a encrypted email sent go to encrypt tab and fill in the required details and click on
encrypt.
