1. What is the status
of online kumustahan
per subject as a top up
to modular distance
learning as perceived
by the teachers and
learners?
3.41 – 4.00 E
2.81 – 3.40 VS
2.21 – 2.80 S
1.61 – 2.20 F
1.00 – 1.60 NI
2.What is the impact of
online kumustahan to
teachers and learners
as to:
a.Improved
communication
b.Timely submission of
outputs?
opens great opportunity
for teachers and learners
to briefly discuss and
clarify topics from the
modules

Kenney and Newcombe (no date) wrote
that online education is the future so
adopting blended learning approach is a
great way to prepare teachers and
institutions for making transition
towards it.
3.What are the
challenges
teachers and
learners
encounter in the
adoption of
weekly online
kumustahan?
Connectivity
and gadget
issues inadequate time
allotted per subject

time for answering

modules is disrupted

limited participation/
attendance of learners
none
4. What are the suggested
strategies to improve online
kumustahan implementation?
seek connectivity support for learners
lessen written activities
allot additional time for learner to be able
to join through the online link
communicate learners’ conditions
cooperate well in the activity
change the scheduled days
give additional time for the kumustahan per
subject
Aksan (2021) believed that there is an effect of
teaching-learning process in new normal
education to students’ performance most
especially using modular type of learning. Thus,
recommended that trainings and webinars should
be provided to teachers to improve themselves
professionally and guide the learners more
effectively with the help of any family members as
para-teachers to their children.
1. Online kumustahan
per subject as a top up
to modular distance
learning is excellent as
perceived by the
teachers and very
satisfactory for the
learners.
2. Majority of the teachers and learners
agreed to the positive impact of online
kumustahan per subject in improving
their communication with each other and
timely submission of outputs.
3. The challenges in the 30- minute
online kumustahan are
connectivity/ gadget issues of
both teachers and learners,
limited participation of learners,
inadequate time allotted per
subject, and time for answering
modules was disrupted as for the
learners.
4. To improve online
kumustahan per subject,
seeking connectivity
support for learners,
lessen written activities,
communicate learners’
condition, cooperation in
the kumustahan, change the
scheduled day of
kumustahan, and allot
additional time per subject
are suggested.
1. Open communication of school to parents to support leaners to
participate to the online kumustahan per subject every week.
2. Ensure that tablet and wizpad recipients regularly attend the
kumustahan and other online activities as stated in the signed
memorandum of agreement.
3. Aside from the 30-minute online kumustahan per subject, regular
communication and updating through subject group chats should be
observed.
4. Merits should be given to those who actively attend the online
kumustahan like reducing the activities to be answered in the modules
specially those already discussed during the kumustahan.
