STRATEGIC PLAN FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
A Three - Year Development Plan
For School Year: 2020-2023
Background and Rationale:

The Department of Education recognizes the importance of consistently

upgrading the Philippine’s quality of education through innovative ways from which
learners embody life skills and be functional citizens in the society.
To ensure that the teachers are fully equipped with the competence through
continuous development programs that offer them opportunities to improve learning
outcomes, the schools are mandated to implement programs with optimal resources
that address the needs of the teachers.
With the advent of Covid-19, the Department is transitioning to the “new
normal” education system. This paradigm shift resulted that teachers become more
innovative and more technology-driven through Distance Learning modalities and
other means of service delivery. Anchored on the electronic self assessment tool (e-
SAT) result, the teachers in Calambua Integrated School have identified the gaps and
issues that need to be developed in the area of Curriculum and Planning, specifically
the utilization of ICT and developmentally sequenced teaching and learning process.
Thus, L&D interventions are crafted in order to address the gaps through customized
and innovative programs that are aligned with improving such validated needs.
This Strategic Plan for Professional Development (SPPD) of the Calambua
Integrated sets all the prioritized development programs for teachers and stakeholders.
It serves as basis from which all teacher professional development programs are being
anchored to achieve the development goals of the division.

Professional Development Priorities

DepEd Memorandum No. 050, series 2020

This Office adopts the professional development priorities for teachers and
school leaders for school year 2020-2023 as stipulated in DepEd Memorandum No. 050,
series 2020. The Professional Development (PD) priorities reflect the needs assessment
from the focus group discussions conducted by the group leaders. This will support the
realization of the school’s goal of continuous upskilling and reskilling of teachers that
will result to better learning outcomes.
Electronic Self-Assessment Tool (e-SAT)

The electronic self-assessment tool (e-SAT) is an electronic version of the Self-Assessment Tool
for RPMS. The Self-Assessment Tools-RPMS (SAT-RPMS) comprise two different self-
assessment questionnaires within the RPMS designed for Teacher I-III and Master Teacher I-IV
to reflect on the different performance indicators that relate to their professional work. It is meant
to support teacher performance and professional development. There are 13 performance
indicators in the SAT-RPMS. These indicators are aligned with the objectives listed in the RPMS
Tools.

The following are the development needs of the group of teachers based from the Electronic
Self-Assessment Tool (e-SAT) result conducted in January 2020.
