SPECIAL POWER OF ATTORNEY

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

I, Pedro Penduko, of legal age, Filipino, with residential address at Green Residences, Tower 1,
Unit 1234, Malate Manila do hereby name, appoint, make and constitute Atty. Jan Tristan Ramos with
office address at GF Federal Tower Condominium, Dasmarinas corner Muelle de Binondo Street,
Binondo, Manila to be my true and lawful Attorney-in-Fact, with full power to cause the preparation of,
verify and sign for and on my behalf the Verified Answer, and any and all pleadings, documents and papers
in connection with the foregoing case, as well as file any action, civil, criminal or administrative, initiatory or
appellate, to vindicate my rights and to file, verify and certify against forum shopping any appeal, special
civil action or petition with the Court of Appeals or the Supreme Court, to question any adverse ruling that
may be rendered in such any case, and to represent me at any stage of the foregoing proceedings before
the Regional Trial Court and any appeal, special civil action or petition before the Court of Appeals or the
Supreme Court, with full and special power and authority to do and perform the following:

a) To offer, negotiate, accept, decide and enter into an amicable settlement or compromise
agreement, or act on any matter with respect to the possibility or actual amicable settlement
or compromise agreement, under such terms and conditions as may be just and
reasonable;
b) To submit the case to any of the alternative modes of dispute resolution, including
mediation;
c) To agree on the simplification of issues;
d) To amend the pleadings, if necessary or desirable;
e) To summarize admitted facts;
f) To enter into or obtain stiputation or admissions of facts and of documents to avoid
unnecessary proof;
g) To limit the number of witnesses;
h) To preliminarily refer the issues to a commissioner;
i) To request for judgment on the pleadings, or for summary judgment, or for the dismissal of
the action should a valid ground therefore be found to exist;
j) To ask for the suspension of the proceedings; and
k) To agree on such other matters as may aid in the prompt disposition of the case.
