For question 1, share your thoughts on this level of the OA Simulation that was specifically designed for
the course.
Overall, I felt that this level was challenging and provided great oversight into leadership and
methods. I did, however, feel that section two was a bit easier. This time around I found myself more
prepared for the questions and understanding more about assessment and the decisions that need to
be made regarding them. I felt that the simulation lines up perfectly with the course material and the

found particularly challenging? Was there anything that surprised you?
One of the questions that I found to be challenging happened right away with the first question
“Starting Point”. The questions asked if you had time to widen you search and whether it would be
valuable to the outcome of the project. The correct answer to this would have been no, as you want to
focus on the objective which is the assessment. I answered this question wrong choosing yes, as I
thought that the team should widen their search. One other question I found challenging was “Methods
Bonus”. The question asked if certain methods were inherently better than others. I had selected yes,
which was the wrong answer as all assessment serve a purpose and no one is better than another.
For question 3, how could you use the concepts discussed in this simulation in your job today? Relate
these concepts to the other course materials and your own experiences.
The way that I could use the concepts from this simulation in my current role would be when it
comes to planning. Understanding the overall goal of the company when implementing a plan and
taking the time to incorporate strategic planning. Strategic planning allows for you to understand the
plan or goals of the organization and implement them. Another way this simulation could help in my
role today is by using strategic leadership to influence the people around me to support the goals of the
company. In this week’s simulation that would be coming up with the correct assessment to use.
