(10’) -Tell Ss that they are going to practise saying
questions and answers with the correct sentence stress.
- Play the CD and have Ss repeat each word and
sentence.
- Play the CD again and have Ss read in chorus.
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then write and say
(10’) aloud: Pairwork
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to the recording
and circle a or b to complete the sentence. Then say
the words aloud.
- Ask Ss to read the words in silence and do the task.
- Swap and complete their answers in pairs.
- Invite some Ss to read out the words.
- Ask the class to read the completed sentences aloud.

3. Let’s chant:
(10’) - Introduce the chant What are you reading? Groupwork
- Turn on the tape.
- Ask Ss to read each line of the chant.
- Divide the class into two halves: one says the
question and the other says the answers. Then change
the role.
- Ask Ss to work in groups.
- Invite two or three groups to say the chant and do the
actions.

- Tell Ss that they are going to read and get information
to fill the gaps.
- Ask Ss to read silently and complete the dialogues.
- Ask Ss to do the task independently.
- Ask Ss to trade their answers within pairs for
correction.
-Ask ss to read the answers aloud to the class. The
others listen and give comments.

3. Let’s sing:
(10’) - Play the recording and listen to the song. Groupwork
- Play the recording again for pupils to sing each line of
the rhythm.
- Call on a group of six to the front of the class and do
the actions. The others clap their hands after the song
- Group work. Pupils practise singing and doing the
actions in groups.Correct pronunciation Ss’ errors.
- Call on one group to perform the song at the front of
the class. The rest of the class sing the song and clap the
rhythm.
