Springer Proceedings in Physics

Volume 255
Indexed by Scopus

The series Springer Proceedings in Physics, founded in 1984, is devoted to timely

reports of state-of-the-art developments in physics and related sciences. Typically
based on material presented at conferences, workshops and similar scientific
meetings, volumes published in this series will constitute a comprehensive
up-to-date source of reference on a field or subfield of relevance in contemporary
physics. Proposals must include the following:

– name, place and date of the scientific meeting

– a link to the committees (local organization, international advisors etc.)
– scientific description of the meeting
– list of invited/plenary speakers
– an estimate of the planned proceedings book parameters (number of pages/
articles, requested number of bulk copies, submission deadline).

Preface

The International Youth Conference on Electronics, Telecommunications and

Information Technologies (YETI 2020) was organized by Peter the Great
St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Saint Petersburg, Russia) and took place on
July 10–11, 2020. The YETI 2020 conference provided an opportunity to young
researchers and early career scientists to share recent achievements, current trends
and knowledge as well as future prospects in the fields of development and design
of nanoelectronic and telecommunication devices, signal processing, material
science and nanotechnology, photonics, optical and information technologies. The
conference attracted 82 papers from eight countries, which generated lively dis-
cussions and fruitful debates. As usual at Polytechnic University conferences, a
contest for the best paper was held to encourage the commitment of young scientists
in conference activities.
The conference was supported by Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic
University in the framework of the Program “5-100-2020”.
The official conference Web site is http://yeti.spbstu.ru/.
