Frameworks and Principles Behind Moral Disposition.

My reflection People should have some principle by which they make their decisions as to what is the
morally correct thing to do at times doing the morally correct thing will not make the actor happy except
to know that they did what was right.

Under Meta-Ethics, I think human rights are an ethical issue that can be relate to cognitivism. Because
basic human rights are still denied in a lot of nations. Freedom of speech, freedom from political
repression, movement, association, assembly and many more are still not universally accepted. In
cognitivism, they say that they are “truth bearers” and it is a learning theory that focuses on the process
involved in learning rather than observe behavior.

Global justice and injustice is I think under the framework of moral realism. Moral realism talks about
the existence of moral facts and the truth (or falsity) of moral judgments are independent of people’s
thoughts and perceptions. Because we all know that our justice system is not that good as other nations.
There are people who get to jail because of fail accusation. Not all the time we get the truth that we
have.

Reason, according to Kant, is what deems an action ethical or otherwise. Actions must be done with the
right reason. Kant believes that when we wish to know the moral status of an action, we consult
reason.An act either accords with reason or it does not. If it accords with reason, we must do it; if not,
we mustavoid it. Our reasons must result to good will to be considered moral. According to Kant,
morality or moral law tells us what we ought to do, disregarding ethical judgments that are based on
feelings because feelings even serves us obstructions to our discernment of right and wrong. His theories
focuses on moral reason alone.

Explain: “What is legal is not always moral.”Morality is defined as beliefs pertaining to the differences
between right and wrong or good and bad behavior. The rules of morality are not mandates or
commands; they are beliefs. On the other hand,Laws are the rules a country or community that requires
its citizens follow in order to regulate society.Laws are not optional, they must be obeyed. Just because

it’s legal doesn’t mean that it’s ethical. The law is the minimum requirement, but moralitymay require
people to go above and beyond their basic legal obligations.

Example from this perspective,paying employees at least the minimum wage is necessary for acting
ethically, but morality may requirethat they be paid enough to support themselves and their families.
