The difference between Biodata, CV, and Resume.

Biodata is used in various ways. Biodata can be used interchangeably as a term used for

CV or Resume. The big difference between a Biodata and/or CV and Resume is the amount of

data that is in a Biodata. A Biodata contains personal information that are not usually seen in a

CV or Resume. Biodata is also used for marriage or applications requiring medical history.

A biodata used in applying for work or jobs contains the same as a CV or Resume like

personal information, summary, employment history, education, and skills. In a CV or Resume,

it usually contains only person’s background, skills, and accomplishments. It is a total summary

of the ideal skills and abilities of a person in concrete form. It also explains what particular skills

are relevant to the job the he/she is applying for and what can the company gain in hiring

him/her.

Overall, a Biodata is used to process papers that requires personal information. A CV or

Resume is used for applying jobs in order for the hiring manager to determine if a person is

worthy to be accepted in the company. The hiring manager uses the CV and Resume to

determine what types of skills the applicant has and the work experiences that he/she has

accumulated through the years, thus, an accurate judgment will be made.
