Identify the positive or negative effects that science has on food.


The technological revolution has exploded across the globe and it has affected

almost every area of our lives, especially food production. People around the world

are enjoying a lot of benefits from applying technology to food. This article will

show the positive effects when scientists use technology to food to solve food

shortages and on food labels.

According to experts, one positive scientific result is the reduction in hunger

caused by utilizing GMOs in food. In particular, scientists have researched and

invented foods with high nutritional content and these plants have a higher yield

than traditional plants. Countries around the world, especially countries with harsh

climates in Africa, can grow a huge quantity of plants rapidly. Therefore, the

problem of food shortage that was previously considered a challenge in these

countries will be thoroughly solved. In addition, these foods not only add flavor to

meals but also provide the body with the nutrients it needs to stay healthy and

prevent diseases like goiter. Thanks to the advancement of science and

technology, these foods have solved a serious issue in the world.

The nutrients in food are also analyzed by scientists using modern technologies

and shown on food labels. Food labels are often overlooked because relatively few

people actually read and can understand them. But for those who are on a diet or

have diseases such as diabetes, or allergies, this is an important thing and cannot
be ignored when buying food because they help us understand the composition of

the dish and the content of the nutrients. Food labels have been a big step forward

as they help people understand the ingredients in food and people can easily

calculate calories consumed to limit being overweight. The nutrients on food labels

also make it easier for food inspectors to check and evaluate foods that can be

distributed to the public and foods that do not meet nutritional quality. There is a

separate label template. From there, it is possible to affirm the brand and

consumers' trust in the quality of the product.

To sum up, GMOs and science-based labeling of nutritious content have helped

people solve many problems. The most important thing in life is to always have a

healthy body through adjusting healthy eating habits and using healthy foods. As a

result, nutritional science has a big influence on people's lives and health
