ASSIGNMENTS: MAY 18-22

Dear students,
These are the activities that you have to complete this week.
1. Read the text on page 78 of your Student’s book and try to complete exercises
1,2,3,4, 5. If you do not have time to do them, don’t worry, we are going to work
together so as to solve them during our video conference: May 26, at the time we have
class.
2.Complete the following pages: 83 of your Student’s book, pages 48, 49, 50 of your
workbooks. I will not have time to show you the answers of these exercises in our next
class but keep them at hand for our class of June 2. Anyhow, I will upload the answer
key of all the exercises to Unit 6(student’s and workbook).

3. Listen to Chapters 14, 15, 16,17,18 of “The Invisible Man”. Listen to it at least 3
times and answer the questions. Since your paper will be marked both for your listening
and your writing abilities, provide a full answer for the questions and be very
careful with your grammar.
Up to here, we have learnt how the Invisible Man managed to reach Dr Kemp’s house.
At two o’clock in the morning when Dr Kemp went downstairs to get something to
drink, he discovered a blood stain on the floor and once in his room he noticed a lot of
blood on his bed. Dr Kemp was very confused because he couldn’t see anyone, finally
an angry voice called on him: the voice of the Invisible Man. His name was Griffin and
he had studied medicine with Dr Kemp at the university. The Invisible Man was in so
much pain, he needed Dr Kemp’s help and the doctor gave him food and shelter that
night. However, despite of the Invisible Man’s warning about not telling anyone about
his whereabouts, Dr Kemp sent a letter to the Chief Police of the town.
Continue the story of the Invisible Man. Elaborate a text with the help of the
questions provided below.

fair end for him and his experiments? Do you think that Dr Kemp could have helped
him in some way?
