Human Flourishing in terms of Science and Technology

1. Does Man dictate the evolution of technology or does technology dictate the
evolution of Man? Express your answer in not less than five sentences.

I think, both man and technology have influenced each other's evolution. Since
people have learned and searched on how to integrate and develop the use of
technology in today's age, this event has been made possible. The gadgets or
appliances we have in our homes that significantly speed up our activities are an
example of technology that would not be possible without the people who created it.
Man, innovators, or scientists are also deepening and extending their update of
innovations by using these built methods. Technology is advancing at a breakneck pace,
altering the way we live, work, and play. Almost every day, new inventions and
paradigms emerge. Cutting-edge technology is disrupting traditional ideas that we have
been used to as a human race for decades, if not centuries. Like, computers, it is just
beginning to appear half a century ago, and they were only used for specific scientific or
testing tasks, but they are now ubiquitous. We see and feel computer capacity in a
variety of shapes, sizes, and forms all around us. There are small and compact versions,
such as those used in smartphones. Desktops and mainframes are examples of large
ones. On the contrary, the dynamics of our lives are shifting as a result of technological
advancements. We used to be very physically involved, but now we rely on technology
to do the majority of our work. Changes in our behavioral patterns and adaptations
brought about by technological advancements may prove to be the primary driving
forces behind our species' next stage of evolution.

2. Is there something wrong with continuously improving technology? Is man’s

desire for a good life justification enough to continue advancing technology?

I believe that there is nothing wrong with the continuous development of

technology. As human evolves or change every single day, it raises our standards in life.
Technology has a wide range of applications and connotations for various people. In
today's world, technology can be found in almost any place. From your neighborhood
grocery store to your house, technology helps the world run more smoothly. Although
some people are hesitant to accept modern technological innovations, the majority of us
have technology in our homes. And, as these two evolves, problems are still arising from
different places and aspects of life. It was definitely described that technology had been
a great help to people. And I think with this, everything will fall into places. Its
improvement is making our life easy. However, it does not mean that having an advance
technology will make us depend on it. Good life does not have to be in dependence with
technology, it is the sole will of a person to be contented and happy with what he have.
On the contrary, the improvement of technology is mainly to solve the problems that a
human will encounter. We need new ideas, new science, and new resources to create a
sustainable tech-based future that allows us to reap the rewards of technological growth
while staying healthy from potentially catastrophic collapse.
