Semi-detailed Lesson Plan in Science

I. Objectives:

At the end 30-minute of lesson, the pupils should be able to:

1. define invertebrates and their characteristics;


2. give examples of invertebrates; and
3. show a sense of collaboration and teamwork through a group activity.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Invertebrates

III. Procedures

A. Preliminaries

1. Greetings
The teacher will greet the learners and the learners will greet their teacher.
2. Prayer
The teacher will ask the learners to pray.
3. Classroom Management
The teacher will ask the learners to arrange their chairs properly and pick up the pices of paper.
4. Checking of Attendance
The teacher will check the attendance of the learners.

B. Motivation

Activity Title: 4 Pics 1 Word


Material: Flashcards, Bond papers, Marker
Procedure: The teacher will show four pictures to the class. The learners will figure out a word from the
jumbled words given. This word is related to the four pictures.
C. Lesson Proper

(Using their observation and students, the teacher will facilitated the learning through the following
questions)

 Do you think this word have a connection to our lesson for today?
 Do have any idea, what is Invertebrates?
 What is the main characteristic of invertebrates?
 What are the difference of terrestrial and marine invertebrates?
 Is invertebrates important to our ecosystem?

D. Generalization

The teacher will ask the learners about what they have learned from the lesson.

 Base on the discussion, what is invertebrates again?


 How about the characteristics of invertebrates? Can you please give me one of the examples of
invertebrates and its characteristic.

E. Application

(Teacher will group the students into four, students need to give the characteristic and
what type of invertebrates the animal in the printed paper.)
