    NARRATIVE REPORT SCHOOL OPENING


    SY 2022-2023
    (Grade 8 OHSP Patience)

    August 22, 2022


    o The students in Grade 8 Patience were very excited and entered room 201 as early as
    11:40 am. The OHSP class is scheduled for the PM shift starting 11:00 am – 5:40 pm. The
    meeting started with a prayer led by the adviser.
    Total number of students: 25 Total number of present students: 24
    Absentee: Solomon, Lovely Sofhea: brought to the hospital
    o Since it is the first meeting, the following agenda was discussed:
    o Seating arrangement
    o School rules and regulations
    o Agreement forms of the rules and regulations
    o Attendance and health monitoring
    o Student learning inventory
    o Student profile – was not able to accomplish
    o Student conduct form (an anecdotal record)
    o Election of Class Officers
    o The adviser’s hour ended with a welcoming smile to the newly elected class officers. The
    forms to be answered were asked to be returned next meeting.

    Conduct of Psychosocial Activities


    As classes transitioned from distance learning to face-to-face classes, DepEd urged schools to
    make the first week of classes focused on psychosocial support to students. The following
    psychosocial competencies: self-awareness, self-expression, and self-regulation were the main
    topic of the EsP department. The activities like Emoticon Activity, and Body Map Activity, were
    administered to students for them to develop and practice self-expression and self-regulation.
    Students were given the chance to express themselves through the motor and visual-spatial skills.
    Self-regulation was emphasized especially in managing their own emotions and feelings that
    would affect their choices. The class ended with a self-regulation poster with their statements on
    how to take a break, cool down, and think more clearly. This is a reminder of their abilities to
    express themselves in a loving way and to ask for and provide support.
