The Dreadful Experience

In my own experience, the pandemic is a scary, ruthless,

and cruel foe that has nearly destroyed my family. Aside from the

scarcity of goods, financial difficulties, and the hardness of

adapting to the new normal, the virus that continues to spread

poses a threat to us as well; a family member has been affected,

or should I say, we’re all affected. When my sister began to show

side effects, dread and fear set in. Should we send her to the

hospital? I keep thinking about that time when we don't know

what to do. Should we just quarantine her ourselves? Many

things had been on our minds, particularly our mother, who was

concerned about the situation. Because the hospital is likely to be

fully occupied by other patients, my mother opted to self-

quarantine her. Thank God, her health improved after a few days,

putting our anxieties at ease. During the epidemic, it was one of

the most memorable periods of my life; all we had to do was

believe in God and do our part to make our prayers come true.
