INTRODUCTION

What is Communication ?

• Communication is the process of sending and receiving messages that convey


information, ideas, feelings, and beliefs.

• The communication process is a series of actions on the part of the sender and the
receiver of the message on the path a message follows.

• The communication process has six elements: sender, message, channel, receiver,
translation, and feedback -

There are two types of Communication –

Formal Communication-

• Formal communication is exchanging official information between two or more people


within the same organization, by following predefined rules and using official channels of
communication.

Informal Communication-

Informal communication is the casual and unofficial form of communication wherein the
information is exchanged spontaneously between two or more persons without conforming
to the prescribed official rules, processes, systems, formalities and chain of command.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Formal Communication-

1. To fulfill organizational objectives through some Pre-determined rules and regulations.


2. To give orders And convey instructions.
3. To create a better environment and achieve company’s goals.

Informal Communication-

1. To assess the effectiveness of informal communication in organizations.


2. To develop the awareness of the importance of informal communication.
3. To find out the benefits of informal communication.

MATERIAL AND METHOD USED

Material: Personal computer, smartphone, internet.

Method used: Secondary data.

Secondary data: Secondary data is the data that has already been collected through primary
sources and made readily available for researchers to use for their own research. It is a type
of data that has already been collected in the past
A researcher may have collected the data for a particular project, then made it available to
be used by another researcher. The data may also have been collected for general use with
no specific research purpose like in the case of the national census.

CONCLUSION

• To sum it up, Formal communication is the language of business while informal


communication is the language of building personal relations.

• It is highly recommended by business leaders that organizations rely on formal


methods of communication if they want to ameliorate business performance.

• This project hereby concludes the Informal learning means to learn in a surrounding
where a person is directed to be involved in learning process informally.

• Learning becomes a part of his/her work on non-regular basis.

• This form of learning is concerned with the daily routine activities of work, with
family or with friends or leisure time.

• In informal learning the learner is not even aware of the fact that he/she is learning.
This learning becomes the part of his/her skills, behavior and attitude.
