I. GENERAL INFORMATION
9.0 Community Project Cost Counterpart : The municipal council will be able to provide a location
(basketball court or school gym) with an audio system, wooden tables and arm chairs.
A community-based project that aims to teach homeless youths throughout Barangay 841, Pandacan,
Manila. This program session consists of three parts. Firstly, the homeless youths in Pandacan, Manila will
be given an entire day to learn as well as to have fun. Secondly, they will have an interaction with various
groups of people to help the children build self-confidence. Sharing of stories and life experiences gives
them the motivation and encouragement to strive to finish their education. Lastly, they will be given an
activity to show their talents and skills of what they have learned through the project session.
With the recent disease outbreak and deprivation in the country it is now clearly impacting children's
educational opportunities, this project will contribute as a restore and source of inspiration for children to
pursue their studies. This main process can be achieved by presenting them with an engaging approach
to teaching and learning. This may include interactive activities, educational learnings, cultural events,
and much more.
The project beneficiaries are about 100 homeless children at the age of 5 to 13 from Pandacan Manila will
be taught the basics of ethnographic studies, civic consciousness, and much more. This project aims to
help youths become equipped with the proper skills for basic learnings when it comes to certain
situations.
V. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
• Provide a predictable schedule and environment where they feel safe and a sense of belonging.
• Use cooperative learning groups and other techniques to further peer acceptance.
• To enhance technical and critical thinking skills.
